Українська мова у міжнародному просторі

Abstract

У статті розглянуто сучасний статус української мови як державної, її роль у процесах державотворення, національної консолідації та збереження культурної ідентичності. Наголошено, що українська мова виступає важливим чинником єдності суспільства, символом незалежності та засобом протидії інформаційній агресії в умовах війни. Проаналізовано зміни правової бази функціонування державної мови, зокрема значення Закону України «Про забезпечення функціонування української мови як державної». Окреслено розширення сфер уживання української мови в освіті, медіа, державному управлінні, бізнесі та громадському житті. Особливу увагу приділено міжнародному виміру розвитку української мови, співпраці з європейськими мовними інституціями та популяризації української мови за кордоном. Також висвітлено значення англійської мови як інструменту міжнародної інтеграції України та конкурентної переваги громадян у сучасному світі.

The article examines the modern status of the Ukrainian language as the state language and its role in nation-building, national consolidation, and preservation of cultural identity. It is emphasized that the Ukrainian language serves as an important factor of social unity, a symbol of independence, and a means of resisting information aggression during wartime. The changes in the legal framework regulating the functioning of the state language are analyzed, particularly the significance of the Law of Ukraine “On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language.” The expansion of the use of the Ukrainian language in education, media, public administration, business, and social life is outlined. Special attention is paid to the international dimension of the development of the Ukrainian language, cooperation with European language institutions, and the promotion of Ukrainian abroad. The importance of the English language as a tool of Ukraine’s international integration and a competitive advantage for citizens in the modern world is also highlighted.
