Детермінанти посткомуністичної трансформації країн Балтії

Abstract

У статті розглядається вплив історико-культурного, географічного та економічного чинників на зміст посткомуністичної трансформації Естонії, Латвії та Литви. Наведені фактори визначали зміст реформ не тільки окремо, а й взаємодоповнюючи та посиліючи вплив один одного. Опорою політичних та економічних перетворень у Прибалтиці виступили державотворчий досвід та цивілізаційний доробок західноєвропейського штибу. Географічна близькість прибалтійських республік з економічним ядром Євросоюзу була посилена взаємними ринковими інтересами.Протягом періоду трансформації Естонії, Латвії та Литві вдалося позбутися прорадянських політичних практик. Замість цього, у регіоні сформоване ліберальне інституційне підґрунтя задля продовження державно-політичного розвитку демократичних шляхом. Як доказ успішної трансформації пострадянських країн Балтії варто розглядати вступ до ЄС та НАТО – оплотів демократії в Європі та світі.

The article examines the influence of historical, cultural, geographical and economic factors on the content of the post-communist transformation of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The above factors determined the content of the reforms not only individually, but also by complementing each other and strengthening each other's influence. The basis of political and economic transformations in the Baltic region was the state-building experience and civilizational development of the Western European base. The geographical proximity of the Baltic republics to the economic core of the European Union was strengthened by mutual market interests. During the period of transformation, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania managed to get rid of pro-Soviet political practices. Instead, a liberal institutional basis has been formed in the region for the continuation of state-political development through democratic means. As proof of the successful transformation of the post-Soviet Baltic countries, it is worth considering the accession to the EU and NATO - the strongholds of democracy in Europe and the world.
