Abstract

Навчальний посібник «Теорія та проєктування інформаційних систем» присвячено комплексному висвітленню теоретичних і методологічних засад створення, функціонування та розвитку сучасних інформаційних систем. У роботі розглянуто основні поняття, принципи та підходи до побудови інформаційних систем різного призначення — від корпоративних до розподілених і веборієнтованих. Описано структуру інформаційних систем, їх компоненти, архітектурні рішення, а також процеси збору, оброблення, зберігання та передавання інформації. Особливу увагу приділено методології проєктування, яка охоплює етапи аналізу вимог користувачів, моделювання бізнес-процесів, логічного та фізичного проєктування баз даних, побудови інформаційних потоків і визначення програмних компонентів. The textbook ‘Theory and Design of Information Systems’ is devoted to a comprehensive coverage of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the creation, functioning, and development of modern information systems. The work examines the basic concepts, principles and approaches to building information systems for various purposes — from corporate to distributed and web-oriented. It describes the structure of information systems, their components, architectural solutions, as well as the processes of collecting, processing, storing and transmitting information. Particular attention is paid to the design methodology, which covers the stages of user requirements analysis, business process modelling, logical and physical database design, information flow construction and software component definition. The main methods and tools of CASE technologies, UML modelling, system analysis and information system lifecycle management are considered. The manual also covers issues of quality assurance, reliability, efficiency and security of information systems. Recommendations are given on the choice of methods and means of implementation, organisation of testing, support and modernisation of systems.
